We invite you to take part in our 2026 school tour, an inspiring and interactive educational experience. The program begins with an engaging overview of the Declaration of Independence, setting the stage for a dynamic presentation by a nationally renowned historical re-enactor who will bring one of our Nation’s First Principles to life. To conclude, students will participate in a civic dialogue— an opportunity to share ideas and explore how their voices can help shape real policy change within the Michigan Legislature. Following the presentation, students will engage in a civic dialogue among themselves (in break-out sessions) and share their reactions and thoughts, including any policy recommendations about how to better fulfill the promise of the Declaration of Independence and Constitution. Those recommendations will be compiled in a report, which in turn may be used in an Education Summit and/or to lobby the Michigan Legislature.
