• Create a lesson designed to link a Patriot Week theme such as equality or the rule of law to real world experiences of your students.
• Create a lesson designed to explore the purpose of flags and then have students investigate the flags used during Patriot Week.
• Create a lesson using an instructional strategy such as Socratic Seminar to analyze vital documents suggested at the Patriot Week website.
• Create a lesson in which students investigate a significant historical figure connected to Patriot Week and select a way to share what they have learned.
• Create a lesson in which students design a presentation explaining the purpose of Patriot Week and its themes.
