SEPTEMBER 14

EQUALITY - GENDER
Time to Think:

“I beg you to speak of Woman as you do of the Negro, speak of her as a human being, as a citizen of the United States, as a half of the people in whose hands lies the destiny of this Nation.”

~ Susan B. Anthony

Take a few minutes to contemplate by yourself or discuss with a friend the meaning of this quote. How have women shaped the United States? Would America have accomplished what it has without gender equality? How have you been personally impacted by gender equality? What would life be like without gender equality?

Action Activities:
Short: Read the 19th Amendment or the Seneca Falls Declaration of Sentiments and Resolutions.
